Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In order to achieve high energy-efficiency of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), on-demand WSN has been proposed, where a wake-up receiver is applied to each sensor node. In this paper, we focus on data collections adapting to the observed data of each sensor node. Specifically, we consider two types of top-k data collections, where a sink attempts to collect information on the set of nodes or set of data values that are within top-k range. As wake-up control, we apply the identity-based unicast/broadcast wake-up and content-based wake-up that conducts wake-up control based on the observed content of each sensor node. In this paper, we propose content-based wake-up that is adapted to node-set and data-set top-k collections. We theoretically analyze data collection delay and energy-efficiency of each wake-up control and obtain approximated results by using MCMC (Markov Chain Monte Carlo) where we employ p-persistent CSMA as a MAC protocol. We investigate the effectiveness of each wake-up control with obtained numerical results. |
