Study on high precision vibration sensing technique using Fabry-Perot interferometer with optical fibers (2)

Abstract(in English) We constructed the Fabry-Perot interferometer using a Physical Contact polished ferrule endface attached to single-mode fiber facing to a metal mirror. This interferometer with a DFB-LD light source detected reflected power waveform were sinusoidal due to interference according to displacement of gap between ferrule and mirror. At the continuous measurement of movement of mirror, we could detect double phase of reflected power due to the waveform modulation of the ferrule continuously moved on gap. We tried to modulate the interference wave an Angled Physical Contact polished ferrule position modulation other than a sensor part.
