Simulation for Traveling-Wave-Type Phased-Array Antenna with Distribution of Circuit Phase Error for Microwave Power Transfer

Abstract(in English) The traveling-wave feed circuit for phased-array antenna contributes to reduce phase control systems. In this feed circuit, every phase shifter is controlled by a common dc bias, which prevents a separately calibration for every antenna elements. Hence, the traveling-wave phased-array antenna is easily affected by phase error from each feed element such as phase shifter. In this work, a simulation analysis for beam forming affected by distribution ofphase error from phase shifters is perfumed. The simulation confirmed the beam forming is hardly affected by the distribution assuming a capacitance of fabricated GaN varactor diode with 1 % standard distribution.
