Abstract(in English) A single-layer and multilayer type pattern electromagnetic wave absorber which has metal back reflector on the rear surface, and has periodically arranged conductive patterns operate as frequency selective surface on the surface of the composite plate made of conductive fillers dispersed in polystyrene resin were designed and those of absorption characteristics were evaluated by simulation. Scaling up and down of pattern size, pattern interval space, and thickness of composite plate easily changes absorption center frequency making design of pattern absorber with three or more variable parameters easier. Using carbon black as conductive filler was easy to control complex relative permittivity real part making it easier to change absorption center frequency.
