Abstract(in English) | With the advent of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and sensing technologies, it is possible to acquire leaf-scale aerial optical images under various weather conditions. We are working on estimating leaf colors and leaf angles that are related to photosynthetic productivities based on high resolution images. There are a number of issues that should be resolved to estimate leaf colors and leaf angles based on leaf-scale aerial images of plants in field. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that estimates leaf colors and leaf angles based on multiple images of plants. Under the condition in which direct sunlight is dominant and the optical properties of leaves are Lambertian, a set of leaf normals, a set of direction of sunlights and a leaf color are estimated by a tensor decomposition of a 3D data array generated from multiple images of a plant. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by results based on simulated data. We discuss how to proceed with other issues by featuring some experimental results at the moment. |
