Abstract(in English) | Safety communication is a communication technology which features reduced residual error rates by means of error detection in an application layer called SCL (Safety Communication Layer), and is applied to industrial fields including factory automation. In order to achieve a required standard of residual error rates, a conventional technique assures a certain level of bit error rate of the underlying black channel by monitoring the error detection probability of CRC in SCL. However, the technique is not applicable to a case where the underlying black channel is equipped with another CRC error detection mechanism because the monitored value is reduced by the black channel. In this report, we propose a method to address the problem by correcting the monitoring threshold depending on a black channel. In evaluation, we show by estimation that the proposed method has advantage of system availability and calculation amount over the conventional technique. |
