Abstract(in English) | We studied a coding scheme for a light field (LF), which is represented as dense multi-view images, using state-of-the-art video coding methods such as High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) . This scheme has an important issue; how the frame order for the multi-view images is determined. We proposed a method for finding the optimum frame order through a formulation of the traveling salesman problem (TSP). Based on the idea that temporally smooth videos leads to more efficient inter-frame prediction, our method, named LF-TSP, attempted to find the shortest route that visits all frames. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of proposed method by changing the definition of inter-frame distance and the method used to solve The TSP. |
