The Calibration Method for the Distributed Array Radar using Reflected Signal from a Moving Target

Abstract(in English) Distributed array radar consists of multiple subarrays which is relatively small phased array antenna. Because of the smallness of the subarray, compared with the conventional radar, distributed radar can be easily relocated or increase the number of subarrays to increase target detection performance. However, when relocation or changing the number of subarrays, it is need to estimate subarray located position and angle to calibrate DBF processing. In this paper, the calibration method for the distributed array radar using reflected signal from a moving target is proposed. As a result of the evaluation by computer simulation, the possibility of calibrating distributed array by the proposed method and the characteristics of calibration accuracy against major error factors are confirmed.
