Abstract(in English) In recent years, in order to secure safety and smooth traffic at the time of disasters, and to secure a landscape, it is required to make the overhead communication cable underground. However, in order to promote further undergroundization, it is necessary to construct in a short period of time without using pipelines and cost reduction. Therefore, we have developed an optical cable for direct burial that enables undergrounding at low cost. In addition, we will sort out the issues for the actual introduction.
