Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel de-noising method for realizing low-complexity channel estimation using long-term channel statistics in belief propagation (BP) based large multi-input multi-output (MIMO) detection. When the channel correlation matrix between the receiver and each user equipment (UE) is available, maximum a-posteriori probability (MAP) estimation using the long-term channel statistics as a prior information achieves the maximum estimation performance in probability theory. However, it requires large-scale matrix operations according to the update of statistical information, which is undesirable due to prohibitively high complexity involved. In order to exploit the prior information with lower computational complexity, the proposed method allows us to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on the estimated channel by the optimal de-noising scheme based on the channel correlation matrices. Finally, we demonstrate the validity of our proposed method in terms of the mean square error (MSE), the bit error rate (BER) performance and the computational complexity.
