Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | An accurate and simple evaluation method on material properties is indispensable for sustainment and development of industrial technology. In particular, oil plays an important role in maintaining the function on industrial machinery such as lubrication and hydraulic pressure. This study focused on the evaluation of oil properties. Oil evaluation methods contain a measurement method using scattered microwaves from a target. However, the bistatic measurement system, which transmits and receives scattered microwaves by using two antennas, induces a problem: direct wave interference between the transmitting and receiving antennas. In this study, in order to solve the problem and to simplify the measurement system, a monostatic measurement system that transmits and receives the scattered microwaves by only one antenna was proposed and the evaluation method was examined. The experimental result on the system by using oil samples under the accelerated deterioration test showed the correlation between the mean power of scattered microwaves and the sample’s quality. |
