Abstract(in English) | With the utilization of IoT technologies, various devices are connected to the network. This causes the increase of traffic amount as well as the number of the traffic types. The required communication quality varies by the type of devices and services. Considering such traffic change in the network, to satisfy the various communication quality requirements the new network architecture is desirable to classify the traffic type and to individually control the quality of service for the classified traffic. In terms of the classification of the traffic, so far, we have proposed to use the trailer added to the packet, which provides the information on the data transported by the packet. In this report, in order to enable the QoS control for the classified traffic using the information provided by the trailer, the requested network architecture is implemented using the switch with the programmable data plane to furnish the function of QoS priority control for the classified traffic. For the implemented system, the capability of the priority control function is experimentally confirmed using the test signals. In addition, the priority control function is tested for 4k video transport. For the increase of the number of traffic types, the system scalability is investigated. We propose the scalable QoS control architecture whose capability is experimentally tested by twelve different types of traffics. |
