Abstract(in English) | P4 is a programming language developed for the purpose of programming packet processing of network devices. It enables easy programming on programmable devices which conventionally required special knowledge. In recent years, P4 hasattracted a lot of attention as next-generation SDN technology. For example, chip makers and white box makers have announced P4 support one after another, and the open source project "Stratum" of Switch OS supporting P4 is launched by Google / Open Networking Foundation (ONF). In this paper, we describe an overview of P4 technologies, the latest trends in commercial products and open source, and the evaluation results of applications using P4 switches. |
