Abstract(in English) | With advances of smart devices, internet is gradually becoming to the Internet of Things (IoT). This transformation lead to new style of applications and services which connect humans and inter-connected smart devices. Most of such applications need to process vast amount of locally generated data with low latency, where conventional centralized cloud systems are fail to provide. As a solution, edge computing, where computing resources are placed at the network edge in close proximity to devices, has grown dramatically in recent years. Also in NTT Group, number of researches are developing the edge computing towards 5G mobile communications systems. Edge computing can also be considered as a smaller size distributed cloud which has limited compute resources compared to centralized cloud systems. In order to provide services stably and effectively on such environments, it is important to manage and efficiently utilize those limited resources. In this paper, we propose the task queue improvement, the task transfer judgment algorithm, and the transfer destination selection algorithm that can process the maximum number of requests within the required time in multi access-edge environment. As a result of the verification, it was confirmed that the proposed method improves the loss rate up to about 36.1% compared with the existing method. |
