RCS simmulation for 90GHz-band Linear Cell Radar System for Railway and Runway Surveillance System

Abstract(in English) We are studying a foreign object debris detection radar for airport runway and railway track monitoring using the 90 GHz band. To evaluate the performance of these radars, it is necessary to evaluate the radar scattering cross section (RCS) of the foreign object. Because of the high degree of difficulty in measurement of RCS by millimeter wave reagion, simulation using electromagnetic field analysis becomes important. In this report, we summarize the evaluation results of RCS for both Bistatic and Monotonic, and also give an overview of the radar system.
