Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important to understand the operation mechanism of devices and phenomena which influence device performance. Based on the information and knowledge, the devices are improved and novel devices are proposed. I have investigated the formation mechanism of materials and the operation mechanism of devices using infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy and I have developed the local anodization method of hybrid process between top-down and bottom-up ones to fabricate electronic devices such as single electron transistors micro gas sensors. I describe my experience in development of characterization methods and novel devices.
