Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When we estimate a location of a rover by using the Global Positioning Systems (GPS) indoors, it may be impossible to do it because the radio wave from satellites is shielded by objects such as the wall.On the other hand, it is possible to estimate the location by using the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems. However, a variation of the RSSI dependent of a wireless channel environment may deteriorate the accuracy of the location estimation. Although a location estimation by using the GPS assumes a clock synchronization among the satellites, it is difficult to synchronize the clocks among the Access Point (AP) of the WLAN if we adopt the location estimation based on the GPS to that based on the WLAN. Thus, in this paper, we propose a new location estimation method based on the kinematic positioning of the GPS. Although the kinematic positioning of GPS usually requires reference observers, the proposed system does not need it because the AP can play roles of both the satellite and the reference observer. Moreover, it is possible to cancel the clocks of both the APs and the rover which estimates the location by using the single phase difference and the double phase difference of the kinematic positioning of the GPS. In this paper, we evaluate the estimation performances of the proposed method when all terminals observed erroneous signals by computer simulations.
