| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we report an empirical study on the promising DNS encryption technology --- DNS over TLS (DoT). The study is divided into the following three substudies: (1) a measurement study of the latency between DoT client and server in a local and global environment, (2) a large-scale measurement study on the adoption of DoT in the wild, and (3) a study on the state-of-the-art DoT implementation for end users. We hope that our study sheds a new light on the broad understanding of DoT and its widespread adoption. |
