Abstract(in English) | Persistent carrier-sense multiple access (CSMA) is undesirable for wide-area large-scale data gathering with battery-powered wireless sensors in order to enhance the energy efficiency of the wireless communication devices. Success prioritized non-persistent CSMA can achieve higher throughput and energy efficiency because the wireless receiver can be in sleep mode except for carrier-sensing and frame transmission states and the success prioritized mechanism can reduce the frame collision probability. However, it is hard for fixed contention window (CW) and optimally controlled CW to adapt the varying traffic rapidly. In this manuscript, we apply a full distributed success prioritized busy doubled backoff algorithm to non-persistent CSMA with sleep function in order to follow heavy traffic variation in an autonomous and distributed manner. We also formulate the network throughput and per-node consumed current for the success prioritized busy doubled backoff algorithm. |
