[Poster Presentation] A Visible Video Data Hiding Based on Spacial and Temporal Synchronization and Its Application to Information Communications

Abstract(in English) Research on information transmission using digital contents has attracted much attention as an application of data hiding technology. In this technology, messages are embedded into music or video before transmission. The transmitted music or video are recorded and stored with a smartphone, which works as a receiver. In this work, an information transmission system based on video data hiding is proposed. In this system, the embedded messages can be extracted by recording the video signal where the messages are embedded into specific frames with smartphone. For video data hiding, it is necessary for the receiver to maintain synchronization, and to capture the precise frame where the message is embedded in order to extract the embedded messages successfully. A simple and robust method to acquire and maintain the synchronization was implemented for this purpose. The performance of the proposed system was evaluated through practical experiments.
