Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Frame interpolation is a method to realize wireless transmission of high frame-rate and high-resolution video in a sensor network whose transmission rate is strictly limited. A frame interpolation method is a technology that improves the frame rate by inserting interpolated frames with compensating for global and local motion. A frame interpolation method has been proposed which uses video stream that has two types of information; high-resolution video and high-frame-rate video. This method, however, sometimes creates low-quality interpolation frames when the luminance of foreground and background are similar and when the local motion is small as compared with global motion. We introduce FgSegNet in the existing procedure to improve the quality of foreground segmentation, but it also degrades the quality of global motion compensation. In this report, we propose some methods to detect failures of homography transformation and to eliminate/compensate feature points for improving the quality of global motion compensation. We also propose a new pixel blending method to improve the quality of interpolated frames. |
