| Abstract(in English) | In recent years, the era of Internet of Things (IoT) has been approaching, and massive IoT devices are connecting to the Internet. Under these backgrounds, various communication protocols on application layer, such as Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)，Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP)，Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), have appeared and been standardized for IoT networks. In this paper, we evaluate and compare the delay characteristics of these protocols from packet analysis using Wireshark, results of application processing time, and a theoretical model of transmission delay. |
