Study on ultrasonic sensing using BOF

Abstract(in English) An ultrasonic wave sensing technique using the Band-pass filter on fiber end (BOF) with optical fiber was demonstrated.Although it has been found that the acoustic emission wave of the carbon fiber composite material can be detected by BOF, the relationship between the impact point and the distance between the impact point and the sensor is unknown. In this report, impact was applied to the carbon fiber composite material from several points, and the propagation characteristics of the vibration were investigated.
