Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the industrial field, there are many types of electrical remote sensing technology that use strain gauges. However, sometimes sensing requirements do not suit the use of electronic wiring because of the possibility of surge current generation. The purpose of this research is to create a sensor that can measure strain at low cost using bending losses of optical fiber. In this paper, we designed and fabricated a bending fiber type optical sensor which generates a loss of about 0.2 to 0.5 dB due to the strain of 100 ?ε.
