Abstract(in English) By forming the contact portion in an airtight structure, it is possible to suppress the ejection of the arc discharge to the outside of the electromagnetic contactor. Continuous opening and closing were carried out with hermetically sealed electromagnetic contactor filled with gas with arc blocking effect. The power supply voltage E was set to 450 V, and the closed contact current Io was set to 10 A, 20 A, 30 A, and it was continuously closed and opened up to 300 thousand times. It was confirmed how the characteristics such as break arc duration time ta, bounce time tb, bounce arc duration time tab, arc energy Ea, contact resistance Ra and so on are affected. As a result, ta, tb and Ea were small in 10 A, but the change was larger in 20 A and 30 A. When the Io at 30 A, the arc energy Ea became a large value. The value of Ea was found to be closely related to consumption of electrical contacts. However, since the experiment is done only once, it is necessary to confirm the reproducibility by conducting experiment under the same condition.
