A Search Method of Cropped Image Using Corner Feature Points for Watermarked Image

Abstract(in English) The digital watermarking technique is used for the prevention of distribution of illegal copies. However, the simply applying the watermarking technique to Internet images requires large amount calculation for the extraction of the embedded information. To solve the problem, we have proposed a fast two-stage search method for digital watermarked images in Internet. In the searching from Internet, the watermarked images are sometimes transformed by an image processing. Therefore, we have introduced the countermeasures of the transformations, such as scaling, rotation, image compression, and luminance correction, to our search method. In this paper, we propose an image search method for cropped watermarked image searching. In the cropped image searching, the target image is retrieved based on the similarity of corner feature points after selection by the inclusion ratio of the pixel value histogram. We evaluated the performance of our proposed method by computer simulations, and show the processing time is decreased to about 1.4% of the block matching based method.
