X-ray Computed Tomography Using Compton Scattered X-rays

Abstract(in English) Norton has proposed a new computer tomographic reconstruction method using Compton scattering.However, this method uses only scattered X-rays on the irradiated fan-beam plane and discards scattered X-rays in other angles. Independently, We have found that the more the scattered X-rays were measured, the better the accuracy would be improved. In this study, we propose a method to improve the reconstruction accuracy by extending Norton’s method to capture many Compton scattered X-rays by detectors arranged three dimensionally.
