Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the advent of large and high resolution displays in recent years, large screen electronic signage such as digital signage has begun to spread. However, from the viewpoint of cost, since the input image of low resolution is simply enlarged and displayed by nearest neighbor interpolation or the like according to the high resolution display, visibility is low. Therefore, while reducing the cost of the on-board processor, it is desirable to realize a super resolution technique that does not cause degradation of image quality. In this research, TV regularization separation widely used for super-resolution is realized on RaspberryPi by parallel processing using GPGPU. RaspberryPi has the characteristic that GPU with theoretical performance 24GFLOPS is installed though it is inexpensive. As a result of performing the performance evaluation, we succeeded in speeding up about ten times as compared with the implementation which performs computation only with CPU. Compared with general-purpose PCs, the price performance ratio of RaspberryPi GPU is overwhelmingly high, and it was confirmed that it is suitable for inexpensive construction of digital signage which switches images every second.
