Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Communication support equipment such as sign language interpreters and handwriting instruments are necessary for communication between the hearing impaired and among them there is a research that automatically recognizes sign language from the video. In the research, there is a method of identifying sign language by dividing the region of the left hand and the right hand, but consideration to automatically divide the region has not been conducted. The purpose of this research is to divide the right hand region and the left hand region of the image of the person. We tried to automate that area division. Using OpenPose which is a machine learning model to estimate the position of feature points in the human body such as joint position, it was found that it is possible to automatically divide the right hand region and the left hand region.
