Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Blind source separation is a signal processing technique to estimate sound source signals only from the observation of mixture without using any prior information such as sound source positions. From a wide range of applicability including speech recognition, it has been studied for a long time. In particular, independent component analysis (ICA) and independent vector analysis (IVA) are typical methods, but conventional natural gradient-based algorithms need a large number of iterations until convergence, which was a big problem for practical application. For solving this, since around 2010, the author has derived epoch-making fast algorithms that guarantees convergence, solves ICA and IVA using a framework of optimization called the auxiliary function method. The author has been working on better, on-line, low-latency algorithms, and recently realized a real-time blind source separation system. In this talk, the author will introduce these works. |
