Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We developed video analysis software for the Barnes maze test to evaluate the spatial cognition and its memory of the stroke animal model. Although the Barnes maze test can be evaluated with commercial software for behavior analysis, we evaluated our inexpensive video analysis software developed with open source software of Python and OpenCV. The software was applied to four animals, and analyzed results were similar to the results reported previously. Our software is enough for practical analysis combining with an inexpensive video system.
