Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Compact DC motors are used for driving fuel pumps used in automobiles due to their superior cost advantages. From the results of previous researches, it has been carried out to obtain knowledge of the wear / wear characteristics of flat type carbon commutator and carbon brush for direct current motors. However, for fuel pump driving motors, both commutator and brush are carbon, but in other cases the combination of copper commutator and carbon brush is used. In this paper, we aim to obtain fundamental characteristics of the arc wear of carbon brush focusing on the copper commutator for direct current motors.
