Abstract(in English) | The universal time-domain windowed-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (UTW-OFDM) has been proposed as a new waveform to strongly reduce out-of-band emission. Moreover, the simplified UTW-OFDM allowing the simplification of the transmitter architecture utilizing the characteristics in a short delay multipath environment peculiar to small cells has been proposed. In the simplified UTW-OFDM, the communication quality is deteriorated by the inter-carrier interference (ICI) caused by a windowing process, resulting in the limit of the OOBE reduction especially in the case of 64QAM. In this paper, an ICI cancellation technique is proposed to improve the communication quality for 64QAM, and the proposed ICI cancellation technique is evaluated by computer simulation using LTE downlink parameters. |
