Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a cyclist and pedestrian position information system in blind area for driving assitance systems. This system aim to support to detect cyclists and pedestrians in blind area when on-vehicle sensors and cameras can not detect them. The information server collects the position information of them by communicating to smartphons holding by cyclists and pedestrians.Position information of cyclists and pedestrians is compensated using Map matching with map data and BLE beacons when they are around high-rise buildings and receive GPS signal in multipath environment. As a result of positioning experiments in two areas, it is shown that the positioning accuracy of this system is almost same as GPS in residential area and is improved in high-rise bulding area. |
