Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, IEEE802.1 TSN (Time Sensitive Networking) is being applied for industrial networks which is used in automotive systems and factory automation (FA) systems. TSN is a suite of protocols which improve real time performance (isochronous performance) and network redundancy for requirements of industrial networks. In TSN, network nodes synchronize their time each other to control timing of frame forwarding. IEEE802.1AS standardizes a time synchronization protocol of TSN. In IEEE802.1AS, a grandmaster delivers reference time to the other nodes in a system. And the nodes synchronize to the reference time. A grandmaster is selected by Best Master Clock Algorithm (BMCA) selects a node which has the highest grandmaster priority as a grandmaster. While, the node who has the highest priority is newly connected to in operation, it becomes grandmaster. Then if that grandmaster has reference time which is different from the current one, time leap occurs in the other nodes. Then this system can’t control in real time because of a temporary gap of communication timing. Therefore, we propose a grandmaster switching scheme to prevent time leap and out of synchronization in a system. Theoretical analysis confirms that the proposed scheme is effective to mitigate a discontinuity in the time base. |
