Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Modern popular music is often mixed with harmonic musical instruments and percussion instruments. Therefore, when analyzing percussion instrument sound or grooves, pre-processing for separating harmonic musical instrument sound and percussion instrument sound is useful. In this study, we propose a percussion (drum) sound source separation method as such preprocessing. In the proposed method, a mask on the time-frequency domain that separates percussion sounds is generated using U-Net.It showed the higher separation performance of the proposed method than the conventional method with HPSS (Harmonic/Percussive Sound Separation)) using the median filter.
