Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is difficult to create a sense of wind in the field of virtual reality (VR). Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate conditions that allow participants realize the wind sense by cross-modality of real video images and 3D sounds. We created VR contents of beach and waterfall and projected them on immersive virtual environment. We investigate if the VR contents give participants the sense of wind. As a result, four and seven of 18 participants responded that they felt the sense of wind in the contents of the beach and the waterfall respectively.
