Performance Evaluation of Filter-and-Forward Relay with Self-Energy Recycling

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a filter-and-forward (FF) relay scheme with full-duplex energy harvesting for single-carrier transmissions. The relay station receives own transmitted signal by full-duplex operation and harvests power from that signal, which is called self-energy recycling. The relay station suppresses inter-symbol interference by FIR filter processing, harvests the energy from the signal from the source and its own transmitted signal, and forwards the processed signal using the energy. The filter coefficient is determined to maximize received SINR of the receiver under the condition in which the relay transmission power is limited less than the harvested power. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed method improves as the number of relay receive antennas and the filter length increase.
