Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) DFT-s-OFDM has been adopted in the 4G LTE uplink (UL) which is induced by DFT-precoding to reduce high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) of usual OFDM signals. In 5G, demands to further reduce PAPR of UL signals get stronger to save power consumption and implementation cost for new services of internet of things and device-to-device communications. This study reveals theoretical analyses on PAPR reduction schemes by phase rotation, and as a result, proposes a novel scheme named as π/2-4PAM. Compared with conventional π/4-QPSK, π/2-4PAM provides equivalent PAPR performance with high computational efficiency although the BER are degraded.
