Abstract(in English) | Recently, smartphones with GPS (Global positioning system) have been widely spreaded. Various services using users' current location information are provided and attracting attention. In the future, it is also expected to develop services that communicate among nearby terminals such as VANET (Vehicular ad hoc network). Although an ad hoc network is in general a typical way to construct a nearby network, there exist problems that packets are lost and the network becomes unstable due to radio interference and user's mobility. Whereas, a P2P (Peer-to-peer) model realizes stable and direct communication among terminals by using existing underlay network infrastructure. Some P2P-based nearby network construction methods have been proposed, but they do not enough consider real-time position information of peers. In this paper, we propose location-based P2P network with a server that maintains peers' geographical locations. The proposed method constructs a hybrid P2P network with real-time location information, as the server manages the terminal information. |
