Abstract(in English) | This paper presents an automated image capturing and individual identification system without IC tag, barcode or any special work. There is an existing system that uses random surface pattern of parts as "fingerprint" image and realizes individual identification by image matching, instead of using IC tag or barcode. Since the system can handle only one type of part, from point of its development cost, the system is not applicable especially for parts assembler who handle various types of parts. The proposed system first recognizes parts’ position and type, then controls XY stage and liner actuator to align "fingerprint" region of the parts under microscopic camera, finally captures and identifies fingerprint image. Thus, the proposed system can handle various type of parts and does not require any special work. The experimental results show the system can capture fingerprint image and identify individual parts. |
