Validation of Channel Capacity Improvement for MIMO Antenna with Dual Polarized Directional Beam

Abstract(in English) Dual polarized directional antenna is developed for MIMO system in wireless communication due to its capability to deliver larger capacity content. The validation of the capacity improvement is presented in this paper using three MIMO antenna designs that share the same MIMO characteristics which is utilizing polarization diversity technique with directional beam pattern. The validation mechanism is designed diversely and by comparing with conventional dipole antenna, the improvement of the antenna performance is confirmed where not only simulation results, proper channel propagation measurement also are presented as a verification to real indoor communication environment.
