Nearest sound source extraction for hearable devices

Abstract(in English) In recent years, hearable devices have attracted attention. One of the important functions of hearable devices is to improve voice communication when a plurality of voices are mixed. Therefore, the target sound source is extracted assuming a conversation at the time of installing the heareable device. However, in normal conversation, only the nearest voice in the front is considered important. In this research, we propose a method to extract thenearest sound source in the front direction as the target sound source.
