Abstract(in English) This paper discusses experimental evaluation results of underwater acoustic communication (UWAC) MODEMs, where UWAC MODEMs are multiple differential detection (MDD) for multiple single carrier (MSC) modulation scheme and frequency domain equalization (FDE) for single carrier block transmission (SCBT) scheme. This paper performs experiments in acoustic experimental pool for doubly-selective environment and shallow-sea acoustic environment for frequency selective environment. Experimental results in acoustic experimental pool confirm that MDD with channel prediction for MSC modulation scheme has excellent tracking performance in doubly-selective environment. Experimental results in shallow-sea acoustic environment confirm that FDE with SCBT scheme and MDD with MSC modulation scheme have excellent performance in frequency selective environment.
