A Study of Comparison of Learning Algorithms for Pedestrian Identification Using 3-Axis Accelerometer of Smartphone

Abstract(in English) We have acquired triaxial acceleration from a smartphone device and have identified subjects during walking. In the previous study, we recorded the acceleration during walking with 19 subjects using 3 devices, extracted 49 features, and identified pedestrian using random forest. In this presentation, we compare results of applying multiple machine learning algorithms to these acceleration data. As a result of trial of linear model, random forest, and neural network for various parameter settings, the identification rate exceeding that of the previous research is obtained regardless of the device type using multilayered neural network.
