Abstract(in English) | Recently, there have been proposed several methods for generating clone images of handwritten texts resembling a target writer’s actual handwriting, which could be exploited for document forgery. To cope with this problem, in this paper, we propose a method for discriminating computer-generated texts (CGT) from actual hand-written texts (HWT). The proposed method first divides an input text image into several patches and extract a character style feature from each patch. Then we compute the distribution of the features, which is input to a classifier that discriminates between HWT and CGT. In our experiments, the proposed method achieved more than 96% of classification accuracy, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
