Current-Resonant Full-Wave Push-Pull Converter

Abstract(in English) The current resonant full-wave push-pull converter can be derived from the current-fed push-pull converter by only adding resonant capacitances, using transformer leakage inductances as a resonant element. Operating this converter, we experience a large parasitic oscillation in the diode current of the secondary side; the parasitic oscillation causes not only stress on the diode but also a decrease in the power efficiency of the converter. In this report, we examine the parasitic oscillation through experiments, a simulation, and a theoretical analysis and reveal its generation mechanism.
