A Task Offloading Method Considering Mobility and Turning Behavior in Mobile-Edge Computing Architectures

Abstract(in English) Task offloading, that mobile nodes offload computational tasks to adjacent edge nodes (ENs) with excessive computing resources has attracted great research attentions. To meet delay constraint, it is important to consider transmission delay and computation delay when offloading tasks to ENs. However, conventional methods assume a static environment in which nodes do not move, while communication may be disconnected in a dynamic environment where nodes move. Although task offloading methods in dynamic environments have also been proposed, they usually assume an environment in which nodes move linearly, which is also not realistic. Therefore, we propose a task offloading method considering the mobility and turning behavior of ENs for establishing an appropriate EN selection method in dynamic environment. Furthermore, the efficiency of the proposed method is confirmed via simulations.
