Collision between Propagating Patterns in B2SC3 of Three-state Face-centered Cubic Cellular Automaton

Abstract(in English) There is a huge number of rule sets in outer totalistic three-state cellular automata on face-centered cubic lattice. By imposing the constraints based on the idea of excitable media on rule sets, we can considerably reduce the rule space and some rule sets involve propagating patterns called type-I and type-II glider. In this research we employ the rule set called B2SC3 that has the least activity among the rule sets with type-I and type-II gliders and investigate the interaction between these propagating patterns. As a result, we can erase both types of glider and create type-II glider by the collision between these gliders. However we can not create type-I glider by the collision.
