Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, demands on wireless communications for autonomous driving or connected cars have been actively increased. In the wireless communications using 28 GHz band which are expected to be utilized in the fifth generation mobile communications system (5G), the propagation loss is larger than that of UHF band or SHF band. Moreover, the cell coverage of one base station should be large to accommodate a high-speed mobility of cars. To satisfy these requirements, beamforming techniques have to be used in 28GHz-band 5G system. However, the appropriate beam tracking schemes are not fully studied. Therefore, in this paper, we assume the use of array antenna at the vehicle by practical numerical simulations. In addition, we propose a new low-latency beam tracking scheme suitable for high speed mobility in 28 GHz-band. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by the antenna gain and block error rate in practical mobility scenarios.
